I started Urban Balance Yoga in 2018, running my first class on a Sunday morning at Maraetai — when I was just a few weeks pregnant! Beach yoga remains a favourite, helping people connect with themselves and the beautiful surroundings we’re lucky to have here in East Auckland.
For me, connection — with yourself and with others — is at the heart of everything I do. Learning to nurture both has been essential for my own physical and mental wellbeing.
I also deeply believe in the power of holding space — a space for honesty, vulnerability, and truth. When people share the realities of their lives, it creates safety, fosters connection, and strengthens community.
Inspired by my own journey, over the past four years I’ve participated in numerous circles and begun my counselling training, exploring therapeutic space more deeply. Combining these learnings with what matters most to me, I’ve created a set of tailored, core services I’m truly passionate about — work I am proud of, that supports others and nurtures connection within community.
What I offer:
• Yoga classes — connect with your body and yourself
• Mums & babies — building community and safe spaces while nourishing your body
• Sunday Stillness — gentle, deeply restful sessions to reset
• Women’s Journal Circles — pause, reflect, and share in safe community
I’d love to share these spaces with you. Whether you’re curious to join a class, explore a circle, or simply want to connect, please do send me a message — you’re always welcome here.

An Urban Balance Yoga class at the beach is the perfect way to stretch my body, clear my mind and connect my soul with nature. I can't think of a better way to start my day. I thoroughly recommend it.
Highly recommend urban balance yoga classes….The class was amazing. And are designed for all skill levels. Can’t wait for my next class!
Bre is so welcoming & encouraging. She always gives a full range of options for each pose which you can choose according to your ability. I never feel pressured to reach & hold a pose I am not comfortable with.
